Summer Fundraising Updates 2023
In late June, Trinity Lutheran filled its Vacation Bible School with about 75 kids. Besides the great fun and learning time for the kids, the VBS has traditionally also been a significant fundraising event for IMP/FMSC. 2023 continued this tradition with very generous donations from families at the VBS.
When combined with the tremendous IMP 2023 fundraising launch of Beyond The Plate by St Catherine of Siena, donations from several other sources, and the summer fundraisers, we find ourselves in the wonderful position of being able to meet our entire contract needs with FMSC. Wow! Ithaca is indeed Generous.

2022 end of year report
2022 was a challenging year in many ways, but once again the folks in Ithaca rose to the challenge and we were able to exceed our goals!
The first challenge was that we were given the green light to do a MobilePack late in the game. So all of the normal promotions had to be accelerated: we had to raise our money quicker, we had to locate an approved packing site in just a few months, we had to recruit enough packers in an even shorter amount of time - and all of these goals we met!
Our 2022 theme was "Packing at the Speed of Light” - both because we had to do everything above faster, and also because we set our goal at 186,282 meals (the # for the speed light travels per second).
One surprise along the way was that due to the many issues related to COVID including increased costs and hassles due to logistics and shipping, the rise of fuel prices, and some surprise uncontrollable increases faced by FMSC due to warehouse shortages, we also had to raise an additional $3700 to pick up costs related to these increases. We were able to do that also!
We were able to end the year with over $10,000 set aside towards next year's Ithaca MobilePack! Thank you to all who made this possible!

Beyond the Plate 2020
St. Catherine of Siena Church hosted our fourth annual Beyond the Plate fundraiser for the Ithaca MobilePack for Feed My Starving Children on February 23, 2020. With a full house of 160 guests, a welcome beverage with a nod toward spring, elegant cheeses, delicious 5-course meal, and wine pairings. In total, the dinner raised $34,000 for the Ithaca MobilePack!
